Need help ripping a dvd

I'm using smart ripper to rip the dvd's I bought, and then importing the VOB files into vegas to render them.

This worked fine for the first couple of dvd's but now I'm ripping the files, importing them, and there's no audio track attached to the vob file....so my rendered files have no sound.

The DVD's however do have sound (played them to make sure)

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks

Well I pop the dvd into the drive and it plays in windows media center, and yes it has sound there.

I meant when it was ripped .... from your hard drive.

If you have sound, then it is in the rendering process that there is a bug.

If you have no sound, then it is in the ripping stage that the problem is.

If so, DvdShrink is good, but http://www.dvdfab.com/dvd-fab-platinum.htm has removal of alot of protection, that could be an issue here.

:2 cents:

It would suck if they were protected like that.....considering I bought them from a content provider specifically to do this with them. :helpme

try encoding the ripped vobs with autogk, make yourself a nice avi with it then render your final formats from the avi. hit me up on icq for any help.
