Alright so who believes in UFO's?

How many of us really think there are spaceships visiting earth?

LilBro 09-20-2007 08:16 AM

i think i may have even seen UFOs

dav3 09-20-2007 08:17 AM

Military test planes fly quite often. Spaceships, not sure. It could be possible.

The chances of a civilization evolving to develop intergalactic travel, without first destroying themselves, aren't very good. But anything is possible, no matter how slim the odds are.

GhengisBong 09-20-2007 08:18 AM

Ofcourse you did :1orglaugh

Let me guess...when you were a kid and saw this really odd moving object with a bright light blah blah and suddenly it dissapeared.

Yes, i bet that were aliens.

Chances they exist and YOU would see one are about 1:54235543356 or something like that. But yeah you mightve seen one. Ofcourse, where else than on gfy would this happen :1orglaugh

We should have so many Nobel prize winners here...

ShellyCrash 09-20-2007 08:23 AM

Who knows. A friend of mine showed me this really crazy video that had some cool nasa footage that made me wonder- although it was super long and there were some cheezy parts it was pretty cool. If I can get her to resend it to me I'll post it later today.

You mean one of those many confirmed fake pathetic videos? :1orglaugh

RayVega 09-20-2007 08:24 AM

I definitely think there's intelligent life out there, unlike like ours...but visiting earth in flying saucers? I don't know about that. I have a hard time committing to it.

So what exactly made you wonder? A nasa video with some cheesy parts made you wonder about what?

Actually, during the Apollo 11 mission, Buzz Aldrin thought he saw a UFO, while in orbit. Here's a quick video of his account.

ShellyCrash 09-20-2007 08:28 AM

It's not like UFOs over haiti... just older bw footage- like this part where one of the shuttles loses this tether, and it floats out into space, and there seem to be things checking it out. I don't know- maybe it's just "space dust" gravitating to an object. It looks like protazoa under a microscope. I'm not saying it's proof, just interesting

urbanpimp 09-20-2007 08:31 AM

:analprobe

dav3 09-20-2007 08:39 AM

You know how sometimes you floaters? Like recently, I stood up quick to go take a leak. While I was standing there pissing, I started seeing the floaters. Now I had heard somewhere that these were actually caused by your eyes being out of focus, or whatever, and you were seeing bacteria, or some shit that floats in your eyes naturally. So I tried to swat at the 'floaters' and the fuckers responded to the air disturbance! That disproves the bacteria thing and only leaves one possible explanation, a fleet of really small UFOs was checking out my junk!

ShellyCrash 09-20-2007 08:41 AM

I posted the link here and in it's own thread for anyone who's interested. It's pretty long, but it's interesting if you have the time:

Film: The Greatest Story Ever Denied

It really moved a friend of mine. I didn't find it as earth shattering, but I do think it raises some questions. I don't subscribe to the little green men in silver ships, but it just doesn't stand to reason that we're the only life forms out there.

I was watching National Geographic yesterday, and yes I was stoned, duh, and they were talking about USO's. Which apparently is still a UFO but ones that come from the Ocean and fly away. There has been several "eye witness" of this taking place and several conspiracy theorists that believe the government knows and just isn't telling the people. haha. I am not ruling out that there is other existence somewhere else in the universe... but just talking about the thought of "aliens" visiting our planet is hilarious. :)

Scott McD 09-20-2007 10:28 AM

Nahhhhhhhhhhh.........

_Richard_ 09-20-2007 10:31 AM

i think it's arrogant to think there isn't a possibility..

that story about apollo 11 is interesting..

Drake 09-20-2007 10:33 AM

A comedian made a joke about this.

He basically said that before cameras were commonplace, Alien citings were happened often and they were caught on those old poor quality cameras where you can hardly make out whether it was real or manipulated footage.

Now that every Tom, Dick, and Jane has a HD camcorder or cam phone, nobody seems to be seeing any UFOs. Or maybe they're just not interested in filming those flying objects any more. Or maybe those UFO's clued in and are avoiding detection because they know more people have cameras. lol

Things that make you wonder. lol

Drake 09-20-2007 10:34 AM

A bit of trivia. Alien citings increase every time a movie about aliens comes out in theatres.

Drake 09-20-2007 10:35 AM

The possibility exists but it's unlikely.

kowalsky 09-20-2007 10:36 AM

I WANT to believe... but I should see one of them, very clearly...

amacontent 09-20-2007 10:36 AM

Obviously no one has met Juicy D Links here. Proof is in da puddin

Porno Dan 09-20-2007 10:40 AM

I saw a good special last night on USO's on the history channel.

I saw something at night right over my head in Vallejo, CA 2 years ago. It was slow and had a deep hum that rattled your guts. I know Travis AFB is pretty close... don't know what it was.

The question posed in this thread's topic always bothers me.

(U)nidentified (F)lying (O)bjects certainly exist. If it's maintaining altitude, and you don't know what it is, it's, by definition, a U.F.O.

Extra Terrestrials - though potentially related in certain ways - are another matter entirely.

:2 cents:

Angie77 09-20-2007 10:43 AM

Nobody sane believes in UFOs. Sorry.

thaifan99 09-20-2007 10:43 AM

Im hoping to be abducted and sexually interfered with one day!

Chroma 09-20-2007 10:44 AM

OMG, I just remembered that there couldn't have been any real UFO sightings. They don't have maps in space and everywhere like, such as the Iraq and Asia.

baddog 09-20-2007 10:44 AM

If it flies, and you don't know what it is, it is a UFO.

HomerSimpson 09-20-2007 10:44 AM

Here's a good one in Sarajevo few years ago...
Reporter is on the street speaking about the next theater season,
and all the sudden... UFO comes from the sky...
https://youtube.com/watch?v=AgyHJb1UULY

who knows... :stoned
this is the mission for agent Fax Molder :stoned

yes, yes, I think we can all agree that there ARE unidentified flying objects...people see them and do not know what they are, they are UFO's. That's why I qualified it by saying "spaceships vising our planet" that's the key...the spaceship part.:winkwink:
