Am I the only one that would rather read the news
 

than have to watch it on a shitty little video?

I'm already sick of news spots on CNN, etc, that are only available in video clips. I'd much rather read about it.

Could probably read it 3x faster than they tell it, so yeah good call...

That's 90% of it.. I like to skim articles for the major points.. on video, you're stuck with the idiocy of the reporter. I really hate when they try to be cute, etc..

And what's all this crap with pre-roll advertising on every single news item? I understand the need to make $$$, but on every vid? How about a nice 1-5 ratio or something sane.. Sheesh.. that's like putting 500 words in front of every story in the newspaper and somehow making you read it all..

Video news online sucks unless it's some dramatic footage or whatever.

I read them. hardly ever watch them on tv unles there's some major shit going on, first thing I do in the morning is to buy coffee and a paper (I don't make coffee at home otherwise I would end up drnking 10 caps a day)

I prefer to read as well and if they have accompanying video that's fine, but with only the video available, it's a pain...

I'd rather bury my head in the sand and ignore it.
Its 95% hype and spin anyway.

yeah, i hate it when i click the link of a news story and it ends up being video. i don't even watch it at that point. :(
