Kid Nation - WTF!!!!
 

I both love and hate it - just like a true American show should be.

It has both the horribly right AND wrong in it. Perfect.

I have two kids myself and I would LOVE for them to do some of the stuff they do in the camp.

On the flip side, I would never make them do a lot of what is going on.

Perfect. It will FOR SURE be a hit.

it was touching to see the girl call her mother and tell her she'd won 20k. it was too cute!

Great show... I love it... amazing the kids chose the bathrooms over the TV

Can tv stoop any lower than this program? I saw it..and, what parent in their right mind would EVER let their kid be on a program like this?

Especially the 8 and 9 year olds.

I have to say, it is a show I will DVR too - damn, I am getting completely corrupted when it comes to TV - been in the US too long! lol

Most parents send their kids of to some seedy hole in the woods "summer camp" every year and love doing it! What parent in their right mind would say no to sending their kids to Kid Nation to be on tv? hehe

They claimed on some news show this morning that there was a stunning lack of commercials during the show (which is true). While I figured it was just a good move for a premiere episode, they claimed it was due to lack of sponsors. I hope it doesnt get cancelled.

I DVRd it, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet....Wednesday night is my bowling night...

Apparently the show is lucky to be airing, it seems they broke just about every child labor law that exists in New Mexico.

Are you sure? I thought they filmed it specifically in New Mexico because of the lax child labor laws there.

I haven't seen it. I thought the concept sounded interesting (Lord of the Flies type thing), but wasn't sure if it would be watchable. I'll try to check out an episode.

The thing that seemed strange to me is that there are kids of various ages there. In the real world, the oldest strongest kids would make up the rules and run the show. Is that what seems to be happening?

The whole show seems so fucked up that I don't think I can miss it. I can't wait to see if they kill a chicken next week.

I heard some of the kids were crying about missing their parents - I can't handle that stuff. I'll stick with America's Next Top Model.

There are some amazingly stubborn and weird kids in the show. Actor wannabes and punks. Fun to watch.

This is one of the first network reality shows I could actually sit through, but will I tune in regularly? Not sure yet, I'll have to see what happens next week. WAYYY better than Idol or Survivor type bullshit IMO.....they're gonna make a mint off this show I think. all in all, I liked it

My friend actually works in casting for that show. This time around they avoided casting kids here in California because of the strict labor laws.

Or better yet, GET YOUR OWN DAMN TV! :1orglaugh
