Fuck Me! $1.00 USD = $0.9955 CDN

Canadian dollar stronger than the US? Man, it's been 30 years since that happened.

The rate above was quoted by my bank just now.

I guess it's time to start charging customers in Canadian dollars! ;)

DWB 09-18-2007 02:20 PM

I was reading just the other day that they expect the USD to drop another 20% over the next 2 years.

:-(

WarChild 09-18-2007 02:36 PM

Yup, same with my bank. Even with my US account, it's like .9997CDN.

I always rolled my eyes when people made those "what is that in real money" jokes during the last couple of years... Such a 1999 joke.

greg80 09-18-2007 03:59 PM

no, fuck me. $1 = 0.71 EURO

.50 POINT CUT in

I have write it somewhere else here, but: "If FED will cut significantly interest rates today, then watch out for a high inflation coming to the US, together with recesion, all of this only to save Wall Street crocks and some stupid homeowners. and all of this to be paid by average innocent Joes"

Even the biggest crock Greenspan, who caused whole situation by lowering interest rates to 1%, is against rate cut now, exactly because of : "inflation and recession"

foreign webmasters prepare for a lower dolar.

tenderobject 09-18-2007 04:01 PM

i'll be charging euro and cdn soon lol

us dollar went shit here as well.. argh!

Zephyr1 09-18-2007 04:02 PM

I'll be going to the bank early to cash my USD checks before the US dollar sinks even further.

FYI, market price of the Canadian dollar is 0.9864. The Royal Bank's rate is slightly higher at 0.9911. 1 USD=1 CAD on both rates is expected to be reached within days, which almost unfathomable. The funny thing is Canada really hasn't done much, except wait as oil and metal prices went up and Bush pisses the American economy into Iraq.

I miss being able to make those jokes. Back in 1999 it was at least true.

I knew I should have gotten way more euros in 2002-3 than the few hundred I did.
