Domain Prices going UP!
Your domains are about to get a bit more expensive.
Just got off the phone with GoDaddy and there is an increase coming to all Registrars coming into effect October 14th. I don't have specific prices for each domain type (.com, .org, etc) because he listed them all off too fast. Not that a buck a domain is going to make much difference... |
It's because they are giving way too much damn money to Danica... shes hot and all, but NOW IT'S PERSONAL DAMMIT!!!
;) |
Timeline pic plz
|
Then hurry up and visit http://www.bondagescape.com/domains/ and grab some BDSM/Fetish ones quickly before I decide to stay in trend and rise the prices ;)
Cheers :thumbsup |
Uhmmm.... Isn't this old news??
|
welcome to inflation..
|
you are a quick one!
|
How much are they raising it and what are the reasons that they're sighting?
|
Wholesale is going up 7% for .coms and 10% for .nets - so for example if a registrar pays $6 for a .com now - their price will be $6.42 and for a .net if it were $5 it would then go up to $5.50 - which are pretty common wholesale costs - Im sure they will just trickled down the price raise to customers so you might end up paying 50 cents more for a domain

It is not old news, it happened recently, and it's not GoDaddy's fault.
VeriSign is the monopolist, and ICANN allows them to do whatever they want. Anyway, Moniker has a special for the next month, so you can register/ transfer/ renew your names before the price increase. Go here for more info: http://www.moniker.com :) |
we can afford a buck or two.
|
kinda shitty for those that own 100s of domains :(

someone who owns 100 domains would be paying ~$800/per year.. I'm sure they can afford $900/year instead. |
