We're thinking of introducing FREE LIVE GAY feeds.. is the gay market big? good? in need of such a product?

We currently offer straight feeds, and have found the live feeds market fairly difficult to get into in a good amount of time. In fact i'm sure you guys have already started to see Naughty & Live banners dotted around on GFY ..

-BUT-

We have a lot of spare rooms, and a lot of gay men ready to go at a million miles an hour. I know for a fact that the gay surfer is a lot more credit-card happy, has a lot more money to burn (as he usually doesnt have a ball and chain and three kids), and is quite the active porn punter.

Am I right or wrong? What do you guys think?

I personally do not think that the gay niche is any better selling than any other niche. All niches do reasonably well, if done properly.

Hint. Niche it out. General cock does about as well as general tits and ass. Gay guys like their shit niched out as well. And not cheesy shit like "big cocks" and "teens". Its a little more complex than that. Teens does not mean some 29 year old guy with no body hair, it means make him look like he is 14. A bear isnt a man with a little fur on his six pack. Make him 350 and grizzly fucking adams, then you are getting close.

Most likely your gay site will fail like every other gay site built and ran by straight programs.

We're not talking about a paysite, we're talking about free feeds. If our quality of stream and model is better than the rest, who gives a fuck if the marketings too cheesy or not right?

It also does not rule out the possibility of employing someone who is gay to make the site right.

Yes. Once you figure out gay, you will drop straight all together. Where else can you make 6 figures a year off a site that gets less than 20k a day? Sure as hell arent doing it in straight.

The only thing good about straight is that you have more revenue options by way of sponsors. There is no traffic in gay. Seriously, it is pitiful. Although not as bad as say a year ago. And what little bulk traffic you can find of any consequence is all controlled by a handful of people. And by bulk I mean anything in excess of 5k to 10k a day. You get a gay site up to 40k a day and you are running with the Sleazydreams of gay.

So if you can get in, the getting is good. Sorta, its been tough lately. We glut just like everyone else and sponsors go to shit quick.

Care to explain how you know this? What is the percentage of gay surfers that don't like trannies? What is it that they don't like about trannies? I do not have any knowledge in this area so whatever info you have would you please share it? It would be appreciated.

I dont have any exact numbers for you but I can tell you from speaking to gay surfers and webmasters they mainly like men who act like men and not men who are halfway women.From the way my traffic looks its like shemales and trannys are more of a fantasy niche than a preference niche. Meaning straight men who fantasize about being witha tranny vs. an actual group of people who tend to go after the same thing

Not alot of info there but thanks for sharing. It sounds logical that gays would prefer men who are actually real men. I don't think that a straight man fantasizes about trannies. I have a tranny site among the mix and it does reasonably well, but I am not sure what the sexual preference is of the surfers.

Labret is absolutely right about the gay market. It's MUCH smaller than straight and so is the traffic volume. Untouched? No, almost every affiliate program has at least one gay paysite now. Saturated? IMO as much as the straight market now...

But if you have any gay traffic for sale, I'm buying ($40-$45 per sale, $50 / sale if you can send 20 sales a day)... :)

I think everyone missed the point of the thread.. I am not starting a paysite, but will merely be offering FREE LIVE FEED content as a plugin for members areas..

Well just to add my 2cents to it all

I am a content maker and i am not gay , But i will tell you this i sell 100 times to 1 over women content , We can not make all the gay content and tranny content that people want some times .
I have orders on a daily base , SO i truly belive that if you do the live and have guys that are good chaters and look good you will rock and at the same time be fare in cost

We to are going to be doing gay and trany live soon , not to sure when but I feel for us it is hte best to do > I have great loomg teen gurls , but i still feel we will do better , SO to what you are askign i think you will do great
