flash encoding
 

i need to encode aprox 50 scenes of a total runtime of 41 hours from either AVI or WMV to FLV...

i tried to use squeeze to do it but that will take forever so which other programs are out there that will give a good quality but not take a lifetime to do a freaking movie ? ? ?

The newest version of Sorenson Squeeze (v. 4.55) is one of the faster batch video encoders out there. It is much faster with flv encoding than Cleaner XL 1.5 for pc for example. How fast is the pc you are using? That makes a big difference. My 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo is twice as fast for example as my older dual core 3.0 Ghz pc on the exact same job.

am running squeeze 4.2 on a 2.13 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB ram... but it looks like Squeeze doesnt use both CPU's but perhaps the new 4.55 does ?

will try and update it and see - anyone else have anything to offer ?
