Anybody have one of those PUR water filters?
They were on sale at Costco and I've been reading that filtered tap water is much better for you than bottled water so I thought I would give it a try. Don't have it connected yet but I'm curious as to how well they work.
My tap water tastes terrible, will this filter really improve the taste? |

Your tap water will still taste bad. For the best tasting water, get spring water. It is so smooth and delicious.

Don't do too much for the taste. But it is kind of weird to look at the filter once you start using it and see all the dirty shit that has been filtered out.
The best way to go is spring. and only bathe in the filtered water. treat yourself good. ha |
Damn it will still taste bad? How come? I thought the charcoal filter was supposed to filter out a lot of the impurities and metals? I guess it still isn't enough.
Oh well, it was only $25 and came with two filters. |

A britta filter or whatnot will improve the overall taste a lot. Thankfully for myself I have good water, though recently a few towns over I found godly water. Technically though the best way would be a whole house water system that uses osmosis and then inserts back in the proper blend of minerals. |
we have one and LOVE it
no tastes or any of that shit, it does a 100% excellent job |
Yes, I have one, and I like it. The water here in OC taste like ass on tap, and it helps a lot. It's really convenient having a 3 gallon with the handle (I don't know how many styles there are) instead of wrestling with a 5 gallon delivered bottle, and I just simply refill it when needed. Both the unit and replacement filters are affordable and last a decent amount of time.

Spring water from actual springs does not taste like the spring water from the bottle you buy in the store. How I miss my fresh spring water I grew up on as a kid. We had three different springs we would go and collect water from once a week...mmmmmmmmmmmm.
I only use a water filter (katadyn)when I am in the wild...necessary. |
i used to use it .......its allright ...i prefer brita..

get yourself a reverse osmosis system and your water will taste like bottled
|
I finally tested it out. Did a taste test between normal water and filtered water. It works great and the water tastes fantastic.
I should have done this long ago. Less waste, more room in the fridge, and much cheaper. Each filter is supposedly good for about 100 gallons. I saw the filters for about four dollars each, which makes each gallon roughly four cents. |
