I had a quick question and was hoping I could get some insight on this topic.

When you choose a payout, which would you choose and why? Which is more profitable?

Everybody loves trial offers
Monthly memberships are alot harder to sell .
Unless you have crazy topnotch exclusive content
(not cookie cutter exclusive content either)

trials = more $$$ :) imho :)

Even with exclusive content conversions are tough with no trials..get's harder every day.

I never use revshare with trials. I always use full sign up for revshare.

I don't care what the sponsor uses on pay-per-sign up.

My experience has been that I make far more money in the long run by not using trials or pay-per-signup.
That's my experince and I'm sure someone will disagree.

No trials, but you should be looking at YOUR traffic.

Are they discount surfers?
How are you selling them?
Is there a full price option as well?
Is this PPS or revshare?

It really depends on how you are selling them and if you can switch it up down the road. Example, if you offer a special 'bargain' of the week with a trial on your site, or if you are just expecting the surfer to find the trial on their own after going through a gallery then through the tour.

pps trials, revshare no trials. if someone is really interested in content, he doesnt care if he pay trial or not. if there is trial, user will choose trial and i have $2 :Oh crap trials are mostly not converting to full for me, so why offer them :2 cents: if sponsor offers pps, trials is better for sure, you have money doesnt matter how much user pay ;)

As an affiliate I like obviously being paid PPS on trials, but I find my best converting sites are full price with niche content.

Trials are stupid unless the paysite is run by someone who knows how to retain them and lets be honest thats like 3 people.

On our gay sites the conversion ratio with and without trials is very similar

The non-trial conversion is much lower, so people must prefer trials, therefore choose trials, you'll convert better.

PPS - use trials
revshare - use trials, but no trials if you have very targeted traffic and the site you are sending to is very specific to what your traffic is looking for.

It ultimately boil down to knowing your traffic and what they are looking for.
