Warphead = Next Lensman?
 

My first shoot is happening this weekend, anyone want to share any wisdom before I delve into the naughty world of content?

That depends, is this your first "Content" shoot, or is it your first shoot PERIOD? And from what I've heard from my colleagues and what I've seen of his work, No. Don't expect to be the next Lensman...

Just keep the camera focused, put your lights at 45 degree angles in relation to your subject and have fun! But if all you're using is a camera with a built in flash, you're on your own. :thumbsup

You, my friend are CORRECT! I just picked up a couple of Photoflex LiteDisks & stands, & they make all the difference in the WORLD with my Photo Floods! Next, I'm grabbing a couple of light panels for my outdoor shoots. I'm never gonna have any money cuz I keep spending it on lights!

Remember to take the lens cap off of your camera.

The first thing to do is to get a bunch of really talented people to work with, they make anyone look good, even me.

Then the next thing is to figure out how to make money, I'm still working on that one.

In that case, can I have a job? :winkwink: I'm too scared to go solo!

Having seen a huge variety of content (because I build the pages for www.ContentSpotlight.com).. I'd say .. if you're shooting amateurs.... tell them not to try that "sexy look".. they always look like they're angry to me.

My other biggest complaint is pics where the feet or the top of the head are cut off..

Okay, I know all the imporant stuff is in the center, but when I'm using pics to make banners, etc..nothing more annoying than having a beautiful full body shot but the feet are missing or an elbow, or head top..

and I would agree with the rest.. camera and lights...

Thanks for the info, as for equipment I'm looking pretty good, although after reading this I might make a stop and pick up some extra lighting. Also the 45 degree thing is something I didn't know. I'm hiring a semi-photog to help out and do some of the shooting so hopefully between the two of us we'll almost have a clue. If not I'll at least cut down on the number of college girls I haven't seen naked.

Are ya sure I shouldn't break out the heavy-duty flashcubes? :)
