Apple is the lamest company on earth, if you're not counting AT&T

So I decide to treat myself to an iPhone today, only to find out later that it won't work with an AT&T business account

Apparently they want you to make a personal account and pay an extra $60 per month

Well FUCK you AT&T, I guess having 20 phone lines with you guys isn't enough to unlock my fucking iPhone

Now I have to unlock it the hard way... great

lol, yeah... its *really* hard to unlock. also, if you had read the back of the box you would have seen the AT&T stipulation all laid out in black and white, it hasn't been a secret. i'm no fan of AT&T either but can report i am happily enjoying using my iPhone in Bangkok today..!

On a happier note.....I claimed my iPhone rebate online today then promptly bought iTunes gift cards. :pimp

Using AT&T, or a Thai SIM card? I desperately want to get an iPhone to use in Thailand, but haven't yet put all the pieces together to make sure it would work....

yep, works fine... i'm currently typing this reply from my iPhone actually, w/ a 1-2-Call SIM installed, unlocked it myself last night. it isn't too hard an unlock, the worst part is installing SSH on the phone so you can move the unlocking app into it... definitely don't pay for the unlock online, as it is released freely and you'll still end up doing all the legwork yourself to get it going.

works a treat, some girls over in soi cowboy were looking at me like the electric messiah last night when i whipped it out (the phone, not you know...).

let me know if you need any help w/ yours friend, i'll be back and forth between Phuket and here and can do yours for you if your not unix/ssh savvy..
