California DSL outage??
 

I just called my ISP because my cable modem has been not getting a signal for the past hour and a half. I'm currently ona shitty ass dial up and im sure you all knwo how that is. The tech said that there is a major DSL outage in Cali right now. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks for telling me now, cause I was gonna go home and turn on the computer to work and I would have been majorly pissed. But let me call Cox Cable (yes that's the name). And find out for ya.

At&T stated they are working on this problem now. I remember something liek this happened about a year ago. Most of Southern and northern cali were down for a whole day. I seriously cannot fathom the net without DSL

I talked to a representative and they said that:

"Sometimes there are outages in certain areas, let me check for ya. No I don't see any outages in your area, but let me run some tests...............................No your area is fine"

And phogirl, I recommend you avoid DSL. Depends what kind of speed you need, but DSL is probably going to piss you off more than anything else. 'Course, cable can get reaaaaaly slllloooooow if you live in a very populated area.
