Segway Scooter goes Bust: Bush's Oil Buddies Win Again
"So all the people who had preordered a Segway from Amazon just received a note from Amazon saying, "We've recently learned from our supplier that the item you requested to be notified about, Segway Human Transporter (also known as "Ginger" or "IT"), will not be available in the foreseeable future" "

So where's the link and the true reasons behind this?
This oil conspiracy is getting really old. The oil companies couldn't give a fuck about some scooter that nobody can afford. |
Are you sure its not because the Segway was a raging useless piece of shit?
|
$3,000 toy . . . nothing more
|
I read an article recently that said segway wasnot ginger or "it". They made some good points too - assuming their facts were correct. It was in a reliable publication, but I can't remember which one.

Here is the link by the way:
http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1103-954339.html Note this paragraph: "Metcalfe told the New York Times earlier this year: "Some months ago when speculation was running high, I said that Kamen's IT was more important than the Internet, but not as important as cold fusion, had cold fusion worked out. The IT I was talking about, which I did not disclose, was NOT Segway. That's all I can say." Interesting if true.... There was a LOT of hype before hand - and it was kind of a let down (however if you look at the tech - it IS IMPRESSIVE)... Would be cool if - ah nevermind :) ... |
According to this article posted yesterday everything is moving along fine for the scooter.....
CNN article about Segway Scooter Perhaps they just are not interesting in fulfilling orders through Amazon.com ..... |
Sounds to me that Segway is not the IT that has been hyped.
Personally, it would make sense that it was the "Sterling Engine". http://abcnews.go.com/sections/scite...dge011130.html Would also make sense why bush wants to prosecute Iraq with impunity. It makes sense that if Bush and Party knew that our dependence on oil was ending in the next 10 years, he would engage Iraq militarily knowing that oil instability was going to be a non-issue. Okay - Now I'm starting to sound like a conspiracy theorist |
