REMINDER: Affiliates don't really care about ipods and iphones
 

What they really want is cash...and then they can buy their own ipods, iphones and even big screen TVs.

We did an affiliate poll at Adult Paymaster recently and found that affiliates are motivated by cold, hard cash.

So, keeping that in mind, we can't wait to see what affiliates buy with the extra cash they earn from us every Friday when we pay $50 for every standard $4.95 signup.

So, affiliates, keep sending the traffic and we'll keep sending the checks and you can buy as many ipods as you want.

Cash always works best for me.

It also helps avoid shipping issues...so works just as well for international webmasters as it does domestic

I actually like getting stuff sent to me, it saves me the trouble of having to go buy it for my kid. To date, I have received a PSP, Ipod and xbox. Hoping to surprise my son with a PS3 this xmas ;-)

Ah, but with the extra bonus cash, you can buy the PS3, order it from amazon.com and have it shipped to you and still have some $$$ leftover to buy yourself something nice. ;-)

Half true. I see something like a PS3 or an iPhone as a luxury, not a necessity. So if I have cash, even if it's more than usual, I'm less likely to put it toward something like a PS3. But, if a sponsor sends me a PS3 for hitting a certain amount of sales or whatever, I'm sure as hell going to keep it.

That said, I don't promote programs based solely on rewards they offer, be it cash or goods. I promote what converts. If your program doesn't convert for me normally, I'm not going to ramp up my traffic on a bonus day in hopes of hitting higher payouts or getting a PS3.

Although, for the money it would cost for a sponsor to buy a couple PS3s and ship them, the same money could be put into higher payouts or adding more sites, content, etc.

Yeah, conversions definitely have to be there as well. A sponsor could offer $150 per signup, but if the sites don't convert, then it's all a moot point. 0 sales pays the same amount, regardless of the bonus or program :)

Wires are the way to go.

Polls don't always reflect people's true feelings. There is a lot of material to support that assertion, including a book called the Culture Code.

Very true. Although, we figure those answering our polls have taken the time to answer, so have an opinion about it and we feel it's in our interest as a sponsor program to listen to our affiliates. While we can't be everything for every one, we do want that feedback and input.
