Exploration in ghetto style pantry cooking.
Took one box mac n cheese.
1 cubed cut up boneless/skinless chicken breast. 1 quarter cup cheese (I used pepperjack) 1 cup jared salsa. some chili powder. Made mac n cheese as per box directions. While that was cooking, added about a tablespoon chili powder to the cubed up chicken and cooked quickly until done but not dry. Stired chicken into mac n cheese, toped with handfull of cheese and some salsa. Rating: pretty damn good. Cost: Damn cheap. Total cooking & prep time: About 20 minutes. Served: Two with left overs. |
