Paul Pott, crying my eyes out

I know the rest of the world has probably seen it already, but I just watched the first audition with Paul Pott form the british talent show. I am still crying my eyes out, this guy is amazing. If you have not seen it, do it now!

Damn, I watched that about 4 times and I don't even care for opera that much. He is amazing.

I think he could have took that female judge home with him right there and then. LOL

I normally don´t like opera, I just love it when the underdog shows great talent. I did not expect him to sing well at all. I love humble people who has a gift.

oh, and the best thing is the expression on the judges faces before and after he starts to sing.

No shit. Simon looked like he was getting ready to rip Paul a new one then he started singing. That girl looked like she was creaming in her panties by the end of the song.

It's the song which is so emotional, not the guy. But he does it very well.

Truly amazing. I love the look on Simon Cowells face just as he begins to belt it out. Utter amazement!

That could screw up his voice...so why should he do it?
That's why Barbara Streisand has never gotten a nose job.

I am totally opera ignorant, but his voice rocked.

The opening parts about self confidence were great as well.

I knew right away after watching that audition that he would win it !

And rightly so...

Oh my god.... that brought tears to my eyes too. What an amazing voice. I really hope he is able to sing professionally especially with the loss of Pavarotti.

What I find the most amazing is that he is such a mouse until the music starts, then he absolutely belts out the song, and as soon as he stops singing, you can see the confidence leaking out of him onto the floor until there is nothing but the mouse left there again, almost like a scared little boy. Almost a split personality at a certain point.

Yeah, that boy can sing.

Unfortunate name though - too close to Pol Pot.

I don't think I'd want my name being close to that of a pretty nasty leader of the Khmer Rouge known for genocide, but thats just me...

With all due respect to whoever the other contestants were, I think that was pretty much a foregone conclusion from about 30 seconds after him starting to sing.

I gotta admit that she is cute as a button, and has a killer voice.

But she didn't give me a rush of chills up the nape of my neck like his voice did.
