evidently - all the 818 phone numbers will be used up in a couple years - so, they, the phone company, are introducing a new area code to the 818 valley, 747 - they will split the san fernando valley in half - which side will get 818 - not the porn part...

"The Commission adopted a geographic split plan developed by the California telecommunications industry for the 818 area code. Under this plan, a new area code would be introduced, if needed, to serve the southwestern part of the current 818 area code, while the 818 area code would be retained by the northeastern portion of the area.

In a geographic split, the 747 area code will serve the Agoura, Canoga Park, Reseda and Van Nuys rate areas, including portions of the City and County of Los Angeles and the cities of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills and Westlake Village. All existing numbers in the northeastern area will retain the 818 area code, including portions of the City and County of Los Angeles, and the cities and communities of Burbank, Glendale, La Canada-Flintridge and San Fernando."

Wow that sucks. So i take it Woodland Hills will be part of the 747 code too

yes - woodland hills is between canoga park and agoura hills so it would be included - and btw - you're a hottie :)
