well, I wouldn't eat them.... they're carp. Keeping them is a piece of cake. Throw them a handful of fish food once a month, change half the pond water everey other month, and keep the pond free of cane toads. That's about it.
I just finished a major overhaul of the pond today though because the cane toads had taken over and it'd been 2 1/2 years since it was cleaned. Took about a week to drain it, Chlorine bomb it, change out some rocks, and re-establish the bacteria.

But normally, the rule is, don't fuck with it if it ain't broke.

Wow, that is great! Shows you how a little change of habits can really change your life in only 4 months. I'm sure you will take the decision to quit smoking at some point, you will feel even better afterwards. If you already knew what you know now, would you have quit earlier than you did?
