On her break, she ate a burger made with the salty meat. "It didn't make me sick," Bull told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

But then Police Officer Wendell Adams got a burger made with the oversalted meat, and he returned a short time later and told the manager it made him sick.

Bull admitted spilling salt on the meat, and Adams took her outside and questioned her, she said.

"If it was too salty, why did (Adams) not take one bite and throw it away?" said Bull, who has worked at the restaurant for five months. She said she didn't know a police officer got one of the salty burgers because she couldn't see the drive-through window from her work area.

Police said samples of the burger were sent to the state crime lab for tests.

City public information officer George Louth said Bull was charged because she served the burger "without regards to the well-being of anyone who might consume it."

Actually, if we did, we'd likely know what's *really* in the burgers and stop eating there altogether, haha

Although not stated in the article, it's' obvious that the McDonald's employee super-salted the burger because they knew that they were serving it to a police officer. Same idea as if they spit into it, or wiped it on the floor.

This thread is making me hungry for french fries.

its evidence in a criminal case, it has to be sent off if requested by the arresting officer, its the law

Maybe the officer recently read one of those myths involving semen and food served to police officers in restaurants.

And then decided to show everyone what a bully he is.

What I think is really lame is the article says that he got sick from eating it. You'd think if the burger was that salty, he would have stopped eating after the first bite, perhaps the second. I can see laying charges considering the person obviously tampered with it because of who the burger was going to, but otherwise, the whole thing sounds really dumb.
