Need a logo donated for local medical cannabis effort
 

Hey GFY'ers
I'm currently involved in a local campaign to get medical marijuana legalized in my state of Mississippi. Many of you that know me personally know I'm in a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury I received almost 30 years ago. I've been in the adult industry for over 10 years (though not very actively recently) and that's why I'm coming to GFY for help. I know there are some great designers on this board, and I've seen the compassion that many of you have displayed over the years and although most of you probably don't know me...I think we'll see eye to eye on the issue of medical marijuana.

The logo I'm looking for will be for a campaign called Mississippi Compassion, and what I need is a cross or medical symbol of some kind with a cannabis leaf. I would like the words Mississippi Compassion somewhere in there. This will be used as the logo on the website, as well as possibly being made into lapel pins, etc.

Any services or words of encouragement that you can provide for this grassroots campaign would be greatly appreciated. Even if you're not a resident of Mississippi (which probably includes everyone but myself) this is an important nationwide issue that is influenced by every state that chooses compassion over politics. This is a very conservative southern state and legalization here will not go unnoticed.

Unfortunately, even today there is an amount of the population that would go for that...but not the demographics I'm seeking. Naaa...I'll pass:warning

I will bookmark this tread, and if you won't get the help you need, I'll try a logo or two.

Sounds like a really worthwhile cause. I was really happy when medical cannabis was legalized in Canada. For the minimal amount of harm it causes, I don't know why more countries won't allow it for pain relief and other medical reasons. Seems like most commercial medications are far more harmful, and sometimes not even as effective...

LOL, I got threatened with a trademark lawsuit by Home Depot for selling a parody shirt back in the old days that said "Home Grown", in the style of Home Depot's logo. Best Buy uses the same attorney now.

Some nice stuff there... Do you sell any of them in the dispenseries? I might pick up one or two if you do...
