Guns and tattoos aren't comparable. Guns are manufactured for performance, tattoos is an artform you idiot.

Adding gold screws and ivory handle to a gun doesn't make it Art, the gun is still something ment to shoot bullets :2 cents:

tony286 09-09-2007 03:20 PM

I knew a really bad motherfucker who had tattoos all over his hands. If he hit you with one of them wouldnt kill you but would hurt like hell. lol

Deej 09-09-2007 03:24 PM

Awwweee... you twoooo

I wouldnt say a gun is a form of art, but I would compare it to tattoos in the way of prized posessions... admiration...

People will cherish different things differently...

however.. tattoos cannot kill you... meanings and brandings of tattoos can...

now lets get the nerf bats and hug this shit out ...

and you don't think there are guns that can be considered pieces of art?

art? im not sure... convince me...

maybe hold historical value or unique qualities.... but art?

but then again...

i always go back to the number 1 art rule

art is in the eye of the beholder...

but...

elaborate...

you obviously dont know the meaning of art. guns can have more purpose than shooting someone, just like tattoos have more uses than just being art... mostly for people to be trendy bitches.

Deej 09-09-2007 03:40 PM

oh well now you mean putting art on weapons, well yea... Ok.. i was initially thinking craftsmanship...

Of course there can me murals on guns... and yes there are some amazing pieces...

I jumped into something and all i seen was the phrase gold screws and pearl handles...

I had a more or less plain ole .44 ruger blackhawk with a pearl handle and custom pin... thats why i mean more or less... it looked like a plin ole gun with neat add ons...

I didnt think of this sort...

Yes, art...

baaaack to work

I am really interested in seeing where I ever said/hinted/implied that tattoos can kill people.

Please prove that you can read and comprehend English.

count of monte cristo 09-09-2007 03:42 PM

thats not what hes saying, many things can be a form of art.

dont knock a mans craft.

matter of fact, i dont particularly like tatoos, especially face or neck tatoos, and i would never do that myself, but youll never catch me saying something bad about what somebody may consider "art"

I think kids these days have forgotten that craftsmanship is an art form.

After Shock Media 09-09-2007 03:45 PM

Well technically a tattoo could kill you if the person giving you the tat was not responsible and used non sanitized equipment. Anything from Hep B, Aids, to a bad staff infection can occure.

So alas yes they can kill people.

well, yea, because craftsmanship isnt what it was before... its all production line now... I mean hey... have a guy craft a gun with coal and fire.... Ill show that guy and his (in that form) work of art some respect...

im generalizing modern firearms... thats where i said historical and unique..

hand crafted guns are pieces of art... ill agree with that...

Wouldn't that fit into the category of guns don't kill people, bullets do? ie: tats don't kill people, dirty needles do

not tattoo... thats lack of professionalism...

in this day, if it hasnt happened already, a family could sue a tattoo artist for such practices from a death....

Im betting they would win with the shit you see going through in court now... and this would be much more justified

Donfoolio 09-09-2007 03:54 PM

It was bad enough that gun thread had enough gun bashing. You needed to make a new thread about the comparison to tattoos? I don't look at gun making as a pure art form, sure you can get artistic with it but who cares? You hate guns, we get it. Saying guns are for people with small dicks or wimps is just stupid and honestly the people who bash gun owners and say shit like that are probably small dick wimps themselves. Bashing something is the best way to show envy or fear of it. I don't personally own a gun and won't for a long time, to me they are tools to get a job done then be thrown away. But if people want to collect or shoot them at paper targets for fun that is fine! I think it's pointless but if it bothers you to the point you have to bash the people that do like it then it proves you to be a bleeding heart crying pussy which is so many levels worse than a gun nut :2 cents:

SpeakEasy 09-09-2007 03:56 PM

There is always the possibility of infection from improper care after the tattoo or dirty equipment.

I never understand why some people have this burning desire to constantly bash another person's interest. If somebody is interested in the genetics of pygmy flies... who the fuck cares?

The other day I had somebody telling me that people that watch football are losers. Why? Because they enjoy sitting around with a few friends, drinking a couple beers, and cheering for a team? That makes them losers? Wow.

I dont care what you say, people that enjoy nascar to the max and are "enthusiast" are seriously, mentally unstable....

They lack true passion... whats entertaining? waiting for a wreck? See how long it takes darrel to burn of 13cm of tread on this race?

Fuck Dupont!

LOL there's a difference between having artwork on a gun and calling a gun ART.

Comparing a tattoo to a gun is like comparing a All dress Pizza to a screwdriver, cause they both serve a purpose in life.

I think Lala Land suits you well Granpa, you should stay there :1orglaugh

You have proven you don't read English very well, so I am through with you. You are afraid of guns, and I can accept that. Why don't you?
