Kathmandu, Nepal (AHN) - Frustrated with numerous and repeated technical problems that have grounded its whole international route fleet of two (2) Boeing 757s, officials for Nepal's state-owned airline have committed the ritual killing of two goats.
Nepal Airline hopes that the sacrifice would appease the Hindu Sky God, Akash Bhairav.
Ritual animal sacrifice is a common and accepted practice in the Hindu religion.
An unnamed airline official said that the air carrier sacrificed the goats in front of the airplanes, hoping to end the nagging problems that have caused the airline to cancel flights and leave passengers stranded.
Another senior airline official, Raju K.C. stated to the local press, "The snag in the plane has now been fixed and the aircraft has resumed its flights..."
Air Nepal has made no statements or clarifications on what exactly what the problems plagueing its 757 fleet are, however Nepalese media have rumored that the problems are electrical in nature.
