Who Here Likes House Music?
I just want a small list of some of your artists. I dig John Digweed, Ian Ossia, Paul Oakenfold, Dave Seaman, Swedish Egil, to name a few, just wanted to know what yours were. As your've noticed mine are mostly house trance, sort of, what are yours. (shy grin)

Ian Pooley & Masters @ Work

The house/techno fad has about 5 minutes left.
Anyone remember the ska/swing dancing fad from a few years ago? Hopefully, the next fad will be something that DOESN'T suck...like death metal. |

Yeah Vega's great. He used to do a residency at a club here called The Sound Factory Bar (not the sound factory) with Barbera Tucker. It was cool. Hot sweaty and the last mostly hetero house crown in NY! Those were the days! :(
Check out Ian Pooley. He did a song with a woman named Esthero that is really hot. Also if you can find the Casa Del Mar - Ibiza CD's at your local record stores you will dig them. They have some of your current faves on them as well as some new stuff you don't know you like yet! |
Talla 2XLC
Piet blank dj icey dj baby anne Armin Van Buuren Sasha Riker Morgan dj Tiesto Ayla Gigi D`agostino Blank & Jones the list goes on ... maybe ill think of some more later :c) |

Lil louie vega is a fucking insane DJ. His track selection and mixing skills are top notch. Check out my buddies site www.groove.ca they have a lot of streaming live sets, mostly recorded in Toronto. Kelly Lewis and Frank Williams are my buddies, they both have a bunch of sets there and run the site. Frank has been a DJ for like 13 years now or something, he has over 10,000 records.. no lie. :Graucho

House/Chemical House/Acid House are fucking tight, hardly a fad, it's been around since like 1990, maybe not as mainstream as now, or maybe the Jean Jacket boys were rolling in dirt so their shit would be super dirty and maybe save that fad from dropping dead that they missed it.. |
I like Trance... like Darude, Ian Van Dahl, Zombie Nation, Laut Sprecher, etc...

Techno is gay but I still like Wumpscut, Velvet Acid Christ, VNV Nation, Funker Vogt, Praga Khan (gets old after awhile) blah de blah etc etc. I dont know how you can tolerate trance. its just geeking out for the sake of geeking out, nobody really likes it. I find it hard to believe there will be 70 year old men with grandchildren one day sitting around listening to trance. But then again there will be grandfathers like me, fletch, syk forcing horrible shit onto our grandchilren. "You call that metal you little motherfuckers... that aint shit".
Detroit is the home of ghetto tech. My girlfriends friend loves it, says the style is called "jit". All sounds the fucking same. You heard DJ Assault? He the king of this shit in Detroit. You play Ass and Titties in Detroit and people get happy. Ass and Titties |

Sven Vath is one of the sickets DJ's i've ever heard.
Also Danny Tenaglia (a little old school) really works the crowd great, specially for afterhours. |
Anyone wanna icq/email me their track lists?
I can never get too much of this stuff.. but I like eurodance mostly.. like from early 90's :P |

Rammstein? WTF are they even saying? |

Death metal is dead though. "Nu Metal" seems to be the biggest thing going for metal at the moment. Personally, i'm fucking sick of all these classifications. I heard a band on one of the local alternative stations described as "industrial gothic grindcore." That's just too much. It's metal, or it's not metal. AHH!! |
