@ Team K8tie
This is not meant as drama - I'm sure there is some kind of mistake and want to bring this to your attention. Yeah, email might be better if you read them and don't do massive deletes like most people.
I put the following code in for the rss feed as you instructed: <ol> <!--rss:rss_feed_url:=http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=924726-0000&PA=796263&HTML=http://www.teamk8tie.net/news/rss.xml,num_items:=15,random:=false--> </ol> So my site showed your nice thumbs and links. Then I clicked one of the links on the feed, such as : http://www.tkbabes.com/ and went to the join page, clicked to join with credit card and looked at the source to see if my ccbill affiliate number was correct. It wasn't there. The ccbill_referer line is missing in the signup source code. I don't know how since I thought that source code was on the CCBill side of the transaction. The source code said that the surfer came from your join link: <input type=hidden name='referringUrl' value='http://www.teamk8tie8.com/join.html'> Which may have caused the ccbill_referer to be missing In any case, the way things are now, despite using the long CCBill link citation, I would not get any credit for a signup the way it is working now. I have no suggestion to fix this problem - I think your template(s) might have cancelled the affiliate citation, or the link from the join page cancelled the source of the surfer giving you (the sponsor) the credit for the sale. This is not meant as drama - I know you will fix the problem, whatever it is. |
btw - If I try to use your POTD and enter your site and go to the signup page, I don't get any credit that way either.

good idea to watch those ref codes - good heads up
|
This shit happens all the time. Purrfect-money also fucks over their affiliates by removing codes from all their hosted galleries. I would dump k8tie cash.. worst fucking conversion on the net..
|
Stopped promoting K8tie and all those sites a LONG LONG time ago... back when incredibabes first came out... got TheHun posts and everything, and not ONE sale.... clearly they don't give a fuck and they still spam me with their crap every week.

RSS Feed is on the same server as all our sites.
Once you've clicked through using the feed or any other code, you're cookied. All our ccbill accounts etc. are grouped. You really should contact us directly rather than post in the minefield that is GFY :winkwink: |

That's probably the most rediculous accusation you've ever made. You have absolutely no proof or substance to that statement and owe me and my network an apology. |

I've spoken to CCBill, they don't see an issue. We carry the standard Join codes they ask us to install. I'll have them re-address this, but see no issue myself. Nor apparently, do they. Also NOBODY should ever claim we don't care, we've been online for far longer than the majority of networks. Since 2001. If anyone ever has a query please raise a support ticket via www.k8tiekash.com where our dedicated staff will deal with any problems you may have. I don't appreciate any kind of bad press as it's unwarranted, mud sticks and it sticks well, it's not something we wish to become associated with out seven year old network. |
I will remove our RSS feed from our cash site until this matter is sorted to everyone's satisfaction.

No idea what you're doing but it works. Please contact us for assistance |
Lifer I just tried our RSS feed using your code 796263
http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...t/news/rss.xml I clicked through to the www.k8tie.com link and got.......... <input type=hidden name=ccbill_referer value='796263'><input type=hidden name=referingURL value=''><input type=hidden name=referingDestURL value=''> Honestly I have no idea what you're doing but you're not doing it right. |
So ends my customer service for the evening.
ICQ me for any further assitance please. |
@ Jono
I tried the POTD link again this morning and got the same result. (perhaps because the page was cached) Then I changed the affiliate number on the POTD citation to yours, and got the CCBill_referer number like I was supposed to. Then I changed the affiliate number back to mine and now it is working. |

when testing cookies you should allways do this to be sure you are testing correct:
1.copy the linkcode 2.clear your cookies and cache to be 100% 3.close all your browser windows for this to take effect. now start up your browser again and paste the linkcode to the address window. if it does not work now then its faulty |

That's the reason I posted the code I was using. The same code works now. It didn't yesterday. |
The only other possibility is that I didn't let the join page load completely before I checked the source code. In that case, the ccbill_referer number could have been missing.
In any event, the code is working now - I'm happy - They're happy |

@ Jono - The RSS feed is passing the cookie properly now.
Look - I don't know what happened... I might have made a mistake, but I checked it a couple times just to be sure that I wasn't making a mistake before I posted here. I didn't mean to say anything negative about your program. I have always liked your site and that is why I wanted the feed to work. The only reason I checked it was because you suggested using the long CCBill affiliate link citation - which is the best way to ensure that the cookie is passed. No one else suggests using the long code - so that is why I checked. I posted the board because I had seen you post here before. Sometimes when sponsors are contacted by email or ICQ, they get blown off. I was pretty sure you would see my message. I really apologize if you feel I have tried to make your program look bad. That was absolutely not my intent. That is the reason I tried to give you as much information about my linking code and what happened all along the way to the percieved error. Anyone that wants to read more into this has been spending too much time on the boards. Good luck to you... I am very happy to continue promoting Team K8tie Thanks for getting back to me :thumbsup |
No problem dude. I don't believe you did post anything negative about my program :)
It's tools like thonglife making unfounded accusations that make it a real toil coming over to these boards sometimes. For every one good person on here, unfortunately you get a complete dick like that. Then you get someone like sharphead saying we don't care. We do. Greatly. If anyone ever has an issue we go out of our way to solve it for them. Hopefully this will give shortsighted people like that a better insight into the way we work rather than posting before they think :) |
