GO ADSENSE!!! New feature "allowed sites" kicks ass!! adult should so this!

Got this today

We've learned through your feedback that some AdSense publishers are concerned about potentially malicious behavior on the web, such as having their ad code stolen, to be placed on an inappropriate site. To give you more control and security concerning ad code, we've recently launched the Allowed Sites list.

The Allowed Sites list, which you'll find by clicking the Allowed Sites link under your AdSense Setup tab, is the place for you to list sites or URLs where you want to allow your ads to appear. Sites that aren't on your list can still display ads using your ad code; however, impressions and clicks for these sites won't appear in your reports, advertisers won't be charged, and you won't receive any earnings from them.

Of course, it's entirely your choice whether to use this Allowed Sites feature. If you don't want to create an Allowed Sites list, there's no need to change the settings in your account; it will automatically default to allow any site to show ads.

To create your Allowed Sites list today, visit your AdSense Setup tab, click the Allowed Sites sub-tab, and choose the radio button for Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account. You'll then be able to enter allowed URLs for all your sites. Make sure to keep your list up to date when you add your code to new sites, too.

Psst...one last thing! We'll be doing routine maintenance tomorrow, September 8th, from 10am to 2pm PDT. As usual, your ads and earnings will keep tracking during this time, but you won't be able to access your account, including your Allowed Sites list.

people take someones google adsense code and put it on page with illegal stuff so they get canned.

to stop this, they allow you to say "i only use google code on fletchxxx.com" - this will stop them from canning you when they find the illegal pages with your code on it :)

seems like an intuitive/obvious thing that should have been in place since the beginning.

great idea - i agree should be looked at for adult sponsors. but then again.. some peeps have 100+ domains.. could be a nightmare to manage

the more domains you have to more chance you have that people are fucking with you, just remember, when you buy a domain, you put it in your allowed sites list in your sponsors

Ahh... OK... Someone did this to me actually. I created a blog that was completely mainstream and written by a human like the millions of others out there and everything was just fine... Then some asshole GFY'er got pissed off at me for what ever reason and put my code onto a page of theirs with dirty words. I got canned. I asked Google WTF and they said I was using the code on porn sites which isn't allowed. I said, bullshit! And they said sorry but we cannot give you the domains we busted you for, but we can tell you they exist in our stats! WTF!

About time. I am gonna get in there and start working on this right now.

OzMan 09-07-2007 10:17 PM

Simple solution and long overdue. I have seen several GFY'ers stupid enough to post their adsense sites. Hope they make use of this feature as it's hard to get an account "uncanceled" :thumbsup

Bro Media - BANNED FOR LIFE 09-07-2007 10:42 PM

just set all my domains up in it :thumbsup

Not bad,but still someone can click billion times on your ads and make your account suspended or even terminated.
