How often do you have withdrawl errors with Epassporte?

"Due to system maintenance we are unable to process bank account transactions at this time. Please try again later.

For more information please Contact Us directly. "

or, the other one I see is just simply "FAILURE"

then there's the one about "...an error connecting to my bank"

We know they don't actually ever connect to my bank or anyone elses. They send funds to another US Bank and company which then subsequently disburses funds to our banks.

I was a good boy and emailed using the contact link but after two days have no response... and after two days retrying multiple times to withdraw funds, no success yet. Interestingly enough, I think if I'm not mistaken I've gotten all three of these errors this week. Over the course of the year I'm accustomed to seeing these messages randomly and once or twice a month simply wait and retry the next day.

What's your experience with Epassporte withdrawing funds and getting these messages?

They must have one hell of a bank float earning interest with all the extra days of keeping cash in their accounts. The interest on tens of millions isn't bad if that's the float, that would certainly make sense of their low $2 ACH withdrawl fee... clearly it would be a revenue offset.

Plus holding cash to show more cash earnings at the end of the quarter is always a move by companies, Ebay, AOL, most of the big ones pull some bullshit on months following the end of quarters to show more money to stock holders

I get occasional errors but found it usually works again within a day. I have been getting the same series of bank withdrawl errors/messages since I tried 3 days ago. Michael told me a few days ago they are doing work on their ACH processor. I got an email back from support last night saying they have no estimated time of it working again.

Never in 2 years, but I use the card...

I get the failure notice a few times. I wait and do it again later and it works. I'm used to it by now.

Clearly they should be dealing with WTS then!

baddog 09-07-2007 11:02 AM

I think I have only made a withdrawal once, so never.

We are aware that there have been some problems lately when withdrawing to bank accounts and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
We are taking steps to prevent this is the future.

CaptainWolfy 09-07-2007 11:16 AM

never....

Cyndalie 09-07-2007 12:47 PM

Every single time.

GrouchyAdmin 09-07-2007 01:44 PM

Pretty much every other time I try to withdraw without using an ATM.

Would it not be a more accurate statement to say that Epassporte is currently unable to wire funds from it's offshore banking to the 3rd party company in the states that does ACH distribution for them? I'm just trying to understand the severity of the problem.

Using ePassporte since 2005. and I only got that message at ATMs maybe 2 or 3 times. It was not that big problem for me coz electron card worked fantastic the next day.

Hi Michael, can you give us any idea as to when we can expect withdrawls to bank accounts will be working again?

dready 09-07-2007 02:04 PM

I see it pretty often. At least once a month.

I hope to hell they're working. Despite days of "FAILURE" results, I managed to make two transfers this week. I guess I'll find out next week.

DigitalPimp 09-07-2007 02:08 PM

Looks like it is fixed, error message is gone and I just did a transfer and it went through. :)

SleazyDream 09-07-2007 02:19 PM

i've never had any problems

same here, works like a charm. GFY threads heal all wounds

Vick! 09-07-2007 03:05 PM

I withdraw via ATM and never faced any error or problem.

It takes them about two weeks to reply to messages sent that way.

The reply will be something on the order of "Looks like this was fixed last week, please contact us again if not."

I have repeatedly asked Micheal O why the contact queue is two weeks long and what, if anything, Epassporte plans to do about it. He has not answered. We are left to assume that Epassporte is content with that level of disservice.

Jace 09-07-2007 03:13 PM

1 in 2 times usually, for as long as I have had my account, not just recently

Brad

No that would be a false statement, the problem with withdrawing is caused by our ACH processor experiencing technical problems as I wrote above we are taking the necessary steps to prevent this from happening in the future.

It should work know.

Darkhorse 09-07-2007 08:35 PM

I use my card at least two or three times a week to withdraw money here, been doing it for many years now without an issue.

Any progress on fixing the two-week "contact us" email queue?

(Yes, I know and appreciate that you take care of GFY-ers so we don't languish in that queue. The existence of the two-week queue is troubling for other reasons, hence my interest.)

Brad Mitchell 09-08-2007 12:49 PM

Tried the withdrawl today and had success. :)
