Bolanos remained in critical condition at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago on Wednesday. Two of her children -- Crystal, 11, and Anahi, 8 -- were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Her other two children who were in the van were in stable condition Wednesday at another Chicago hospital.

9:49:11: The van pulls into the crossing and is struck toward the rear, slowing its forward progress just long enough for the other train to smash into it.

Very intelligent. Hell, she should have MORE kids now to replace the ones she lost. She'll need them for the welfare money I bet.

Completely stupid but still tragic for those children, and a life sentance of grief for the mother. I'm sure she wishes she were dead too.

And for what? To have a few less minutes sitting with your children in your car while you wait for trains? Perspective.

I don't feel sad for her since she obviously didn't have any common sense (you don't try to outrace a train) but I do feel sad for her kids that were at her mercy.

How horrible for all involved.

I just don't get this kind of stupidity. It's not as if they haven't spent millions of dollars on public service announcements addressing this kind of shit. The other one I just don't get is people who leave their children in cars during the summer.

I live in a nice part of Vegas, inside a gated community. So, you don't see a bunch of white trash over here, who you would expect this kind of behavior from.

But anyway, I'm pumping gas and this guy comes out of the store after about 5 minutes and starts pumping gas into his Escalade.

I see him leaning in talking to someone and I can't see them. He then leaves the door open and goes back into the store for about another 5 minutes or so, and during this time I hear this little voice saying..."daddy?"

I move so I can see, and there's a toddler, maybe 2 1/2 years old, a little girl sitting in her car seat. This stupid fucker doesn't know me. I could be the most vile person in the world waiting for an opportunity like this, not to mention leaving the kid in a car in Vegas heat with the doors shut the first 5 minutes he was in the store.

Stupid mother fuckers.
