It's called a sloooooow news day... ;)

After Shock Media 09-06-2007 01:45 PM

ummm you linked to the front page of the entertainment section and not the front page of cnn.com which has real news stories so I would assume that is why. Then on the front page it is listed under "popular news as a link".

mistergardener 09-06-2007 01:47 PM

I'm not a news buff anymore.

pornguy 09-06-2007 01:48 PM

Really sloooooow news day.

Dont worry they will be in the Paris Hilton school of advertising soon.

dynastoned 09-06-2007 01:50 PM

theres obviously nothing important happening throughout the world. so we focus on mary-kate's smile or lindsay lohan's coke addiction. big news corps are a fucking joke to say the least.

PaulB IYP 09-06-2007 01:53 PM

thats a fuckin joke

Jace 09-06-2007 01:55 PM

it is called an "include"

any time one of the other sections are updated the news gets on the front page for a bit

I went to cnn.com and I found that link to the news story on the home page

Yesterday CNN television actually did a montage of YouTube videos featuring people losing their pants. Like wow. Now they have an entire day to devote to Pavarotti. I guess APEC and whatnot isn't worth covering...

Babaganoosh 09-06-2007 01:56 PM

Being a liberal-biased news network, they have other things to talk about rather than spewing rhetoric about terrorists, freedom and "eye-rack." Frankly I am tired of hearing about it and would like to see something different for a while.

what do you mean theres nothing happening. IMO if they dont have anything imporant to say in the entertinment, remove it for a while, like putting an extra story like the failed terrorists in germany, who were white and only tailed through half a chance. or that those dam russians are flexing their muscles

Brad 09-06-2007 01:58 PM

Because it's Fashion Week in NYC and she is somewhat of an icon there.

Yeah I know you did, it is in the "popular" area. An area that moves around a lot due to views and comments. Hell by linking to it your helping it stay on the popular area.

you want celeb news, go to http://www.hotcelebshome.com/ and chit chat all you want to the trivia that gets spewed around. Just because someone gets tired of the news should not been they should put such a useless story on. thats my opinion. Obviously cnn know best as they are the ones in control.

IMO news is a tool that is absolutley wonderful and should not be abused to tell people about whether someone smiles at the camera or not.

but hey i guess that really is what the average person wants now days :upsidedow

sago-sean 09-06-2007 02:02 PM

Well, maybe its just to get her name back out in the public eye since she joined the cast of "Weeds" on the Show time cable network, and as they say there is no such thing as bad publicity, lol.

Popular should really not be that. again my opinion.

Just one of those *sigh* days for me.

scottybuzz 09-06-2007 02:06 PM

If it had been something big like she signed to be in ahuge movie, fair enough. i wouldnt have made the thread.

But a story about her smiling or not smiling when the cameras are around.... thats just pathetic, thats not popular, how on earth can it be "popular" news whether someone famous smiles or not.

After Shock Media 09-06-2007 02:08 PM

Scotty like it or not news is no longer allowed to be a loss leader like it used to be. Now news departments are required to generate a profit and the largest that they can to boot.

Brother Bilo 09-06-2007 02:39 PM

They put those stories up because gays and broads love that shit. Ratings dude.
