Is this a scam? Email may be fake EX GF.
Ok all of a sudden after 10 years I get an email from an ex gf.
I immediately think, WTF, is this fake? So I start asking some questions and the answers have the facts about her life pretty good even though I can't remember if some of them are exactly correct. What really gets me is she almost acts like she doesn't know when I moved from the area we lived in at the time. But she sent me a long email just days after I moved wishing me good luck. Could she just have forgotten that? And when I ask her a question about herself it's like a resume response example : I went to blah after that and worked for blah in the blah business Just seems very easy to read this off a fact sheet. What would be the purpose of this if it were a scam? She hasn't asked for anything yet but I'm not emailing anyone any money no matter what. I got another email two weeks ago from someone who claimed to know me 10 years ago and they wanted to contact me by phone. I didn't respond. Two people from ten years ago both looking for me at the same time when neither should even give a shit?????:helpme |
Me = Paranoid to the 3rd power.
It's not a scam. But still weird. |
That's weird, I don't know why someone would make that up. How would they know who your ex is?
