I have a bunch of videos Between 10 and 30 mins, need them edited and encoded into 2 formats. Basic stuff, crossfades and color correction.

Its funny how everyone becomes video editors, web designers, graphic designers, etc these days... How many of you have formal video/television/movie education? Last time I posted something like that to get an editor to add to my staff, 75% of them didnt even know how to do a white balance and all of them didnt know what an a-b roll edit bay was nor what a cg is... I am sure 3/4 of the guys above dont know either and most of them will edit on final cut or premiere or even windows movie maker... They have no clue what Avid Media/Film Composer or even Xpress is nor have they used it before. If you need professional video editing done, contact me at macromind at gmail .com

yeah, its funny that these days lot of people who has knowledge of basic editing called themselves a video editor, including myself. only few people here had formal studies about video editing. they may not know what a-b roll, cg or white balance means but you have to admit they can get the job done like professionals. i started editing porn 3yrs. ago, i experienced editing from softcore-to-hardcore, gays-to-grannies (yaaikks). Edited almost hundreds of porn trailers already. i never had a formal studies but i think whats important in adult video editing is you know what the client exactly wants you to do and you're able to deliver a good job for him.

so forget about asking whether they know what chroma keying, rotoscoping or whatsoever video editing terms you're saying coz i think some of them might have more experiences than any other professional video editor when it comes to adult video editing.

I agree today's edit platforms make it real easy to just simply cut ... learning all the tools and the proper way to use them is something very different ...
How many here even know how to use a vectorscope when color correcting ?

When it comes to adult video .. having a good beat is important, knowing when to use a cut vs a desolve, and being very tight with your edits .. lastly there are alot of colorcorrection to be done. mostly cus the same can be said about most adult shooters that can be said about adult editors .. it takes more then just a few thousand bucks to call yourself a shooter
