pragmatism is a too big word for me...
My guess is that a lot of our work is boring so this is a entertaining
place to hang out and to release our frustration on others who are in
kinda of the same boat......Though there's been a huge influx of small
rubber boats lately.......but I guess those are fun watching how they
sink.
Apart from that it has a small informative value and an even smaller
business value. Sure for the program who bank on guerrilla style marketing
the contest threads get them some new affiliate lambs that may become
part of the herd of 3 sales a month sheep but the time that this board
is good for doing business is long gone.
Even the fun of showing toys to peers seems to have vanished together
with the business........perhaps even the new toys went down with that
as well........

probably because it was one of the first around, and just where a lot of webmasters hang out. GFY would be a lot better if they charged like 50 bucks for a username, that would knock out 50% of the fake nicks, scammers and just plain idiots.Comment
