Why paypal payments can be reversed? What kind of bullshit is that?

What kind of scammer is this guy?

MicDoohan 09-03-2007 02:22 PM

And i got this e-mail from paypal:

Recently, PayPal received a notification from a user regarding
unauthorized access to his PayPal account. As a result, one of the payments
credited to your PayPal account has been placed in a temporary hold while
we investigate the claim. PayPal constantly monitors transactions for
unauthorized use of accounts in order to maintain the safety of our
users.

The details of this transaction are as follows:

Transaction Date: Sep. 3, 2007
Transaction Amount: $350.00 USD
Buyer's Email: [email protected]

st0ned 09-03-2007 02:32 PM

Man I am very sorry to hear about that, Hope things turn out ok. I always see people looking for paypal to epass transfers but I personally would have never taken the chance in the first place.

st0ned 09-03-2007 02:33 PM

He probably steals paypal accounts, Makes the fraudulent transfer, Gets his money and runs. I don't believe its possible to reverse a payment on epass. Hope they catch the fucker.

Violetta 09-03-2007 02:35 PM

paypal sucks... Scammers suck more!

baddog 09-03-2007 02:36 PM

bump for a lesson learned

fuzebox 09-03-2007 02:42 PM

And the worst part is, doing money exchanges like that violates Paypal's TOS, so you can't complain to them about it :(

fatfoo 09-03-2007 02:43 PM

more info: epassporte.com id : ebizmc2:

The question is , should i contact epassporte about this matter? Or will i get my account frozen or some shit like that?

fatfoo 09-03-2007 02:48 PM

damn, this sucks

If he does that no worries, he will get fucked. I used to know someone that did it and like 2 months later the FBI kicked down his door.

MicDoohan 09-03-2007 03:33 PM

Yes, i supose you are right... I'm going back to work...

Tjeezers 09-03-2007 04:11 PM

Complaining to epassporte is something you should consider doing.

kane 09-03-2007 04:18 PM

I would contact epass and file a complaint against him. 99% chance you won't get your money back, but at least if he has scammed others and they have complained they will close his account.

Good idea.I could join my request too,but unfortunatly there is big chance fraudster already withdrawed money and epass will not be able to do anything.

maddox 09-03-2007 05:14 PM

this is common thing, we run a PPC program and people commonly pay for traffic and than reverse the paypal payments :)

After Shock Media 09-03-2007 05:27 PM

To those talking shit about paypal, you need a reality check really.
Yes the poster got fucked in this chargeback situation but paypal is less likely to ignore or say too fucking bad like the other will.
BTW yes exchanges do violate paypals TOS.

Yet 10 to 1 says epass will not do crap and say they do not get envolved in person to person transfers or some other carpet excuse.

Paypal is shit one way or another. On epass atleast you get detailed explanation why you lost money and on paypal you get generic message how they "protected" you with reversing funds.

When do you go on tour, I may actually pay 2.00 to see your comedy act assuming it comes with a drink ticket.

allofzen 09-03-2007 08:32 PM

I feel bad for you but I would never exchange ten $10 bills for some strange dude's $100 bill.

ztik 09-03-2007 08:51 PM

Yup, you got scammed. He most likely stole someones paypal account and used it to scam you.

Don't exchange money to epassporte from paypal for people you don't know / trust. I had to take legal action to get a few people back. I got them pretty good though :)

Both of the services are shit and neither can be trusted.

PayPal just fucks you more gently. They use a little bit of lube and they will loosen you up a little before they stick it in. Sometimes, they even pull out. ePass just bends you over, fucks you in the ass and cums while inside you, then tells you what a bitch you are as they pull out.

However, it goes without saying that you really should NOT be exchanging money for people unless you know those people very well.

ridikuloz 09-03-2007 09:13 PM

does he have a GFY ?

shahab6 09-03-2007 11:19 PM

you cannot do really much, I am 100% sure that some advertisers use stolen paypal accounts

we started screening all new advertisers manually, this helped a lot

Actualy best method is not to deliver service same moment when payment arrived.Delay for one or two day, that is best method to avoid receiving fraud funds.

Masterchief 09-04-2007 06:14 AM

A good way to reduce risk on those types of transactions is to use the mass pay feature. It eliminates that pesky 3% fee paypal charges and doesn't allow people to send money if it's funded by a CC.
