In memory of those we loved and lost...

Living so close to the WTC, it feels as though the terror really hit home. I had many friends that worked in and around the WTC that were fortunate to make it out safe. Unfortantely I knew a few people that perished that day. One of my parents good friends worked for Canter Fitzgerald and was not that lucky. He left an 11 year old daughter and wife. One of my friends also lost a brother. Having the attacks hit so close to home really affected those around me. These hard times brings us closer together, and I am proud to wear the colors of Freedom.

God Bless You All....

it only took a few minutes to change 39 years of how i viewed the world we live in and i will never be the same

my soul is despondent, my body numb and my heart aches

And why not spare a thought today for the 20,000 people who were murdered by corporate terrorists Union Carbide in Bhopal, India in 1984. Unfortunately for them, living in a third world country means that when atrocities are perpetrated against you they don't make headline news around the globe for a year and no government is likely to wage war to avenge your death.

But those who are interested can read more about it here

my empathy has no boundaries and i respond to all injustices

i suppose 9/11 was just the breaking point in an otherwise already jaded outlook of the world

Glad to hear that.

How does this strike you as an injustice:

Average compensation payout for person killed in September 11 terrorist attack: $1.25 million
Average compensation payout for person killed in Bhopal, India by Union Carbide in 1984: $550

Justice... dontcha just love it!
