I believe, and Im just using my captain obvious hat, that this is only for today and its out of respect.

my guess is that this is temporary - to mark the 9/11 anniversary - so this poll is pointless.

I think it is really neat to see this on 9/11. Good job.

You know, there is an old George M. Cohen line (he wrote Yankee Doodle Dandy and other horrible stuff) that said "Many a bum show has been saved by the flag." Today is a somber day; I guess I just feel personally that it needs to be observed quietly in some small way, and then we live our lives in spite of the threat. The colors almost seem celebratory ... and that just don't seem right somehow.

Oh it's a tribute thing for 9/11.


Well maybe if enough people like it the colors will stay.

Everyone deals with emotional issues differently. The events of 9/11 are so unprecedented that there is no one right way to display the feelings we may have today.

Maybe instead of looking at it as a celebration, you can think of it as a sign of unity. On 9/11 most people felt scared and vulnerable, even helpless. In the ensuing months we saw the American community pull together. We realized that each of us is not so alone. We pulled together and helped each other make it through a horrible experience which we all shared.

I was really impressed to see the red white and blue colors on here today.

That being said, I would just as soon see the old colors come back tomorrow or in a reasonable timeframe.

i think changing the colors to red white and blue on 9/11 is cool as hell!
