In my opinion, the second is infinitely more appealing to the surfer...yet it seems as though photographers insist on shooting photo after photo like the first one...with the models looking in the camera.

What's your opinion?

The dark-haired model look great. There are no balance in picture nr1. I vote for Picture nr2

Number two is better. I think they go for looking into the camera because there's a connection to the viewer that way.

A little of both is the best I think. Not every guy/girl likes what another does.

i agree with you - i don't want the model looking into the camera directly in photos or videos all the time - i bug my photog about it all the time. I want some natural photos too where it's not obvious the girl is saying 'hey i'm here to collect 500 dollars staring into this camera - I'm smiling and trying to look sexy cuz that's what I think i'm supposed to'
