What's so great about ubuntu?
 

Is it worth making my system a dual boot? I keep hearing ubuntu mentioned all over the place. I'd love some more info.

Linux is being dumbed down for the masses and Ubuntu has done a fine job of making linux really, really easy to install. Personally I love it although I have been a linux geek for many years.

ubuntu is the first linux i could use as a desktop and actually work on it - with everything, from skype, google earth, and mp3...

love it! I like playing with *nix and have for years, this just makes it easier to do other desktopish things on it while I mess around with diff stuff...

Well it's one of the first "easy to use" distributions that is based on Debian instead of Redhat.
