Is buying this website a good deal?

I have an opportunity to buy an adult free host network, and based on the info below I was curious if any of you thought this is a great deal or no..

The free host I am interested in is for sale @ $7000 - What comes with it is over 800 webmaster accounts, between 600k and 900K uniques a day, and..... a bandwidth bill for 15mbps every month for $2800/

Running a site like this and depending solely on placing 1 or two banners on the pages - can I profit from this? Or do you think the money I make will just cover the bandwidth bill?

Thanks..

You could make money off it. Depends on how much skill and insight you got. Running a free host is a lot off truble. You have to deal with all kinds off abuse like warez leechers etc. If you know what your doing it can be profitable if you have no experience running a thing like this leave it alone

To be honest I tried the free host game a few times and it never did well. its a tuff racket.

Hopefully a few people will post.
but I never had luck with free hosting

I think people are missing some thing about free hosts, It's an amazing traffic machine all you have to do is be smart and direct the traffic the right way.

but than again it's a mega fucker shit load of work.

Good luck!

If you know how to make money, buy it.

If not, you're fucking yourself in the ass.

Good luck with it if you decide to go ahead! :thumbsup

$2800 seems a little high for the bandwidth bill

What sponsor would use on an adult free host?

It appears that you could save upwards of $1000 on the bandwidth bill. If you decide to buy it let me know and I will put a quote together for you.

2 things.

How much advertising is on the site now ?? If you start to add to that you may loose all your webmasters and get blacklisted at the tgp's which are sending you the 900K/day.

How many 404 hits are being produced right now ?? The banners and links on the site will make you $$'s but your real $$$'s are made on your 404. So check out how much of that is currently being produced with that 900K/day ??

$7000 may be better spent building it from scratch, I mean 900K a day is really only 100 webmasters doing 9K :) So maybe you'd be better off spending that $7K on advertising for your new freehost ??

true , but there are ways around that
buy it only if you know how to convert free traffic with good efficiency.

I ran free hosting for a long time for a company i wont say. I watched it go from making money to making fuck all because of choices people made, like redirecting/popups and stuff like that which fucked all the domains. I can provide you with some help if you like but it can be quite a time comsuming chore.
