I've always thought that. As disk spaces get bigger, every tiny scratch takes away more and more of the volume's content, that is assuming you haven't scratched it near the first track.

Well, a little patience, remember when CD burners came out? The first speed was CD x 4. Now its much much faster. The key is to get the recording tech first, then Im sure it will speed up.
