Business: P.O.D (Picture of the Day) RATHER then...[also txt vs. img]
Has anyone tested and compared stats based on linking directly to paysite tours versus linking to Gallery/Picture/Movie of the Day type setup?
On a few of my websites I have a top sponsors area where I plug 5-10 paysites using thumbnails (infact those are the ONLY thumbnails on my sites) and they link directly to the main tour. I'm starting to think that if they were linked to random gallery (rotation gallery) or maybe even a p.o.d conversions might improve. Also... TXT vs. IMG Over the last 30 days(1 month) I've been running a test on one site of mine. In the top sponsors area (the 5-10 thumbnails I talked about earlier) I've added a text link under the thumbnail. Simply saying the site's title. _thumb 15202 14050 5465 8 1:683 _thumb_text 5693 5143 1504 6 1:251 The thumbnail got 14,000 unique hits, 5,000 join page hits (1:683[join], 1:1756[unique]). While the thumbnail text link got almost the same amount of sales on a smaller amount of traffic (1:251[join], 1:857[unique]). Who said images convert better then text? That's one sponsor, two tracking codes, same location, at the same time. Been running any test lately? |
I think the non-paying, underage visitors click pics more often than links.
