I personally would like to just see the truth brought out into the open so all this (Conspiracy) shit can be laid to rest.
Educating people instead of confusing people or hiding the truth(covering it up).

The masses couldn't handle it.
For the same reasons hotdog factories are closed to the public.

That's a powerful video. I'm sure JFK had a little more insight into the darker side of government than those who mock conspiracy 'theorists'.

DaddyHalbucks 08-29-2007 10:58 PM

My experience with conspiracy theories suggests that these theories exist more because want them to exist, rather than because they are justified by the facts or logic.

That is a fancy way of saying 99% of conspiracy theories are b.s.

i believe 99% of things you hear are just exactly how they sound, no conspiracy , no hidden agenda..

but the other 1% ........... :)

as far as 9/11 i dont think theres any huge mystery.. i think only a handfull of people actually knew what was going to take place.

But plenty more people looked the other way and continue to look the other way for $$,

I think your most likely correct in this.
Do you think those handful of people were the same handful that organized JFK to be brought to Texas, and slaughtered like a lamb?
If so it would be safe to say it was the CIA to me. CIA is external as far as that goes in and out of the country affairs all over and the FBI is internal both organizations had some info on 9/11 before it happened but you gotta ask why didnt both of these organizations band together and stop it before it took place?

i have never seen any evidence to suggest jfk wasn't murdered by oswald .. but its food for thouight anyways

I'm sure the cia and the fbi had some sort of warnings about 9/11 and possibly could have done more to prevent it.. but hindsight is 20/20. i think some of the "direct threats" were ingored simply because of the way the system works.

because everything is secret , if you pass on a tip to your cia boss , you have no idea what gets done with that info nor are you told . so each boss passes any info up the chain . and their job is to weed out the crap tips . so someone banked on the wrong tip.

Well Im pretty sure alot of people were wondering why then he would be coming out of a courtroom saying to the camera"Im a patsy"!
Sure he was an excellent marksman but how many bullets did he fire vs how many bullets were shot though JFKs head?
There was never an official autopsy done on him either BTW!

lots of wierd things happen all the time , but none of those things are proof..

i saw part of the autopsy so i know there was one done. How extensive it was i have no idea. I'm not a forensic patholigist.

jfk was so long ago an accurate re-examination of the evidence would be useless and not answer any more questions really unfortunately it's just too late.

It would have been nice to see a better investigation at the time but ..

these things are futile to question.

instead of debating these various conspiracies its easier to know to yourself that you will never be apart of one and you wont sit idly by and stay silent.. change the future not the past :thumbsup

I know were your trying to take this, your trying to say its crazy to think that we should look into the future instead of the past and ignore things that have happened already.
Thats a good outlook to have and a peaceful resolve just close your eyes.
In order to produce a safer planet for the human race I think we really do need to look into the past and educate the youth in truth!

People who say "who cares about that its in the past"are ignorant to the world.

I was watching Bill Moyer a few days ago and he had an FCC Commissioner Michael J. Copps as a guest. http://www.fcc.gov/commissioners/copps/

You can watch the interview at http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/08242007/watch.html

The subject was lower power radio stations. It was a very interesting conversation that outlined some basic issues that "Threaten the very fabric of our democracy". He basically outlined that the fact that there has been so much consolidation in media that it has become dangerous. I think when you have an FCC commissioner using the language he used in this interview it is a clear indication that he is pointing out the use of media to promote propaganda.

I don't think my views are theory... Ther IS a conspiracy... and it has led to the US govt. becoming a Fascist govt rather then a democracy. We are fed propoganda and influenced by corporate greed from every media outlet. Even on the internet.

Angie77 08-30-2007 05:48 AM

Marilyn was murdered. Yep. I read this book a few years ago that her psych's wife put out after he finally died.. it was about her therapy treatment, transcriptions and things (including her les experiences).. really good read. It talked about all her future plans, basically made the point that she wasn't suicidal before she "killed" herself. I'm still a bit on the fence about it... what do you think?

Topher49er 08-30-2007 08:10 AM

The truth is...we will NEVER know the truth. Everything that we have been taught in school (historically, anyway) is the result of powerful people putting a spin on the truth.

I don't know who said it, but the basic idea is that whoever wins the war gets to write the history.

The sheeple here in the US need to open their eyes....:2 cents:

I think in order to understand fully in what happened to her you have to look at "the big picture",and realize who would want to murder her.
seems like it is def tied to the JFK thing I mean people speak in bed to the people they are sleeping with.
She may have been on the"I bet she will squak list".
It almost seems all a little too much to think that Jack Ruby was also on that same list.

you have it backwards.. it's not about not caring about the past.. educate yourself about the past sure. i'm not saying to ignore it , i'm saying you can't change the past, but you can change the future..

lets just say i had iron clad proof 2 cia sharpshooters shot jfk , lets say i had the guns and actual footage..NOTHING would happen. maybe 2 cia guys would go to jail . whoopdeee do. That doesnt help much for the future.

FOCUS on the future.. CHANGE the future. use the past as a learning tool not a teaching tool.

Oh ok I took you the wrong way when you said nevermind the past.
Anyhow your absolutely right about learning from it.Lets try not to jump into a constant state of paranoia here but learn that the media lies and propagates the lies formed by these very same peolple who plot these things.
I was speaking with someone just the other day and he openly said in his opinion that JFK had shocked the country way worse than 9/11.
I thought about it and it made sense.
By the way if you do have Ironclad films of JFK getting shot Id bet you money that youd disappear after releasing them pretty quick just like Jack Ruby did.

Facts about 'conspiracy theory'

- Facts are irrelevant
- Possibilty is exchanged for probability
- All scientific methods are deemed not relevant
- The 'truth' can never be 'exposed' because
a) There are absolute powers who control the truth and therefore will
'never allow it' to be released OR those who know the truth are
benevolent and don't want to release 'the truth' because 'society
couldn't hadle it'
b) Anyone who could expose the truth is being blackmailed and can't
for fear of being killed / having their loved ones killled
c) People who knew the truth were killed or died

- All valid, logical questions are ignored and instead answered with questions about things about which no facts are known - only speculations and hypotheses. More weight is placed on improbable yet possible hypotheses rather than probable causes

- Most conspiracy believers suffer massive confirmation bias, spending nearly all their time shoring up their baseless beliefs and creating new theories rather than exploring the most probably causes (see ockham's razor)

- Conspiracy theorists routinely 'piggy back' their theories on current social and political trends, for example:
a) the '9/11 truth movement' has hitched it's car to anti-bush, anti-
republican politics. Anyone who questions 9/11 truth theories is instantly
labelled 'a bush lover' or 'a fox news watcher', etc.
b) the JFK asssination camp is heavily linked to being a CIA or organized
crime conspiracy. The cold war was at its height in the 1960s and the CIA
was a cery active spy organization. As well, organized crime played a big role in Cuba and in the US in general It makes sense then that given this social climate, the conspiracies would reflect it.

I could go on. I will just say this - Questioning for the sake of questioning is not an intellectual pursuit, and is simply a playground for the very 'masses' that are so often referenced. Who are the real 'sheep'?

Rochard 08-30-2007 11:57 AM

JFK was killed by the Secret Service!

Oswald took a pot shot or two but missed everything including the car JFK was riding in. In response the Secret Service pulled out their weapons, including officers riding in the car behind JFK - with their sub machine guns. One of them fired a few shots by accident, which is what stuck JFK and killed him.

Think about it.

True in most cases there is always a shadow of a doubt in any good conspiracy.

Again I think most certain this is wrong. Most of them are very relavent to the true facts(those we are not told)the loop holes in the stories!

Partially true on both instanced mentioned but they always fuck up and get caught in lies.(those in control).

This is probrably true seeing how many people who have been close to things like this do simply just DISAPPEAR off the face of the planet or are legally shut up I.E.Jack Ruby..........
