Looks good, but the video with sound would make most surfers close the window or back out.

I assume you're talking about the fact that it's not under 800px wide and maybe the little horizontal scroll.

Time to catch up. These things are being left behind more and more, especially for a site pushing videos. There are tons of high profile sponsors going this route and doing ridiculously well with it.

Surfers looking for HD style video downloads are not doing so with clunky old PCs at 800x600. This is targeting people who actually buy porn!! I like it.

Didn't know there was audio on it. That is one of my pet peeves. I hate that shit. Probably why my speakers were off :winkwink:

i kinda like it. a little unorthodox, but its got potential.

HD/grunge

make a wide screen video clip, not standard...also, make it click load... not auto, especially with sound...

also, keep the scroll frame but move the video away from it.... id put tthe movie in the top header somewhere on one of the sides...

put a join now type promo where the movie clip is now(beside the scrolly)

thats what I would do...

Sure the site I linked to might not be the best selling, of course the audio onload is a bad decision and some things aren't put in the best place to sell, but overall the design shows more graphical talent then I've seen on this thread so far.

I don't think it's good.. kinda looks like a wide version of 2002 design with all it's steel gradients and over optimized graphics.

like the wide video though.

I like grunge style sites. What do you like about this design though gleem?

I like the 1000 pixel design, the way it's not boxy overall design like most others, it blends without blending too much, it's not overcompressed, looks kinda like a big hot interactive movie poster. Plus I was trying to find a good "dark" design, most everything is pink and white and pastels these days.

Not bragging, but I can make that and better. At least, technically speaking. I mean... I'm not sure what do you find as special, the way I see it is the good ole "let's put 5 girls on the header", add some grunge effects, a video player and that's it. Then, checking the second page, I've made designs with EXACTLY the same treatment for Meatcash 3 years ago, so I guess you mean something else, any good designer can do that. Again, technically speaking.

Sadly, I've 2 sites right now that meet exactly your criteria, but I'm not allowed to show them until they're launched, in the meanwhile feel free to check my portfolio and you'll find the same things you're looking for only that in different sites. btw, if your concern is big wide sites fully made in properly done 100% validating CSS, that's what I do best :thumbsup

how much bandwidth does each page eat up?

it looks ok, but I prefer simplicity over the "jam the page full of every thing you can think of" style

that design does nothing for me personally.

i think there are much better sites around. this is nice, glamour or how to say that, but there is not stronger point that can catch. so many strong design parts but all at the same level of catchiness ... or how the f*ck to say that ;)

1) Sometimes less is more.
2) That big asshole in the center over powers the presentation.
3) Had to close my browser 'couse of the pops.

Dude it's great graphic work, but a dime a dozen nowadays.

Harvey of Fdsign.com could definitely pulll off a design like that.

i love the widescreen designs but i noticed that Cybererotica who had a new widescreen tour layout seems to have redone it smaller/thinner - no longer widescreen. maybe the widescreen didn't perform well.
