MPA3-Epoch Anyone know this?

Hey, I'm trying to set this up. I think I have it all done, but I need someone that could give me a little help with the hosted gallery part. basically I just need an example of what they are talking about.

Anyone?

Hit me up on icq at 50236184 and I could try and help. I've set it up a few times... although, I have to warn you. They really dropped the ball when it comes to the hosted gallery part and here's how...

If a surfer visits your FHG via an affiliate link then the link to your paysite works properly BUT if you cut off the affiliate code and visit the gallery, then the link to your paysite just sends them right back to the gallery. It will not click through to the paysite.

It seems pretty foolish to have it set up that way.

Do you need a separate server to run mpa3?

If you're referring to Epoch's free version, then no... everything sits on their servers.

The other problem is you won't be able to switch to any other affiliate program sofware than mpa3 later ( if you already have affiliates ) without changing affiliates linking codes.

I guess before this becomes a bashing thread, it is fair to say that this is free software and while not perfect, it certainly beats any free affiliate software currently out there. Sure, it's not perfect but it's free.

you need a separate server to run the full version of MPA3, but not with the Epoch version.

Which affiliate program software allows you to keep the same linking codes when you switch to another program?

LOL, NONE.:1orglaugh

Unless they start out with 1 processor where as the linking convention remains the same. The step to MPA or NATS or EXECUTIVE STATS from single processor is easy, but switching...

Nope...

Mark, you are off on this one. It is not hard, just a little labor intensive on OUR end depending on what platform you switch from. :2 cents:

Oh, it is MPA3 and not just MPA - MPA was the first one from about 7 years + ago. Long gone.

Oys, I was pointing out that programs can not switch easily between one another, meaning not seamless. Linking codes would not be the same between any of those 3 for affiliates.

But it is good to know that you guys would help the transition for a client.

:)

It is pretty seamless as with MPA3 you do not need to have your affiliates change their linking codes after a switch as we will still track them 100% after the move over. Been doing that for years and works like a charm. :2 cents:

We will always do whatever we can for the program owner making such a move of course. :thumbsup
