    good online place to buy another laptop with XP on it?

    since vista came out i dont want to go to best buy and be forced into having to get vista.

    someone on here a bit ago was saying they got XP on a machine by ordering it on the web.

    i can't find that thread.

    anyone got any ideas?

      I got mine from Dell. Alienware also still sells with XP I believe. IIRC, you have to enter Dell through its "Medium to Large Business" link to get the XP option.

          I just priced a new one at dell, they all had vista.

              Although I haven't done much looking around in a while, ebay had plenty the last time I checked.

                  Don't waste money on an Aliernware it's way over priced. In fact this company sells the same notbooks as alienware just without the "fancy name".

                      yeah vista is not gonna cut it, i hate it.

                      i'm looking on tiger direct now. and i just checked cdw and they will put a copy of xp for 99 bucks if anyone else wants this option.

                              Serious man, look at the Sager Notebooks.. you will get 2 times the the notebook for your money.

                              Go to notebookreview.com and look around in the "Sager and Clevo" forum.. you will finmd most are very happy with their laptops and you will find a few of the retailers there that you can order any OS you want.

                                  Yep, I've had a "desktop replacement" laptop from Sager for over three years and it has been very good.

                                      try tigerdirect.. i got a nice lenovo/ibm laptop with xp pro and regular size screen (non widescreen..which is hard to find) and great price and service..
