?Owen Wilson has now been transferred from St. John?s to another Los Angeles area hospital. His brothers Andrew and Luke are with him.

?Andrew found him after the suicide attempt and called an ambulance. Both of Owen?s wrists were slashed superficially and Owen had taken an overdose of pills.

?Owen was found with a nearly empty bottle of pills next to him. He was at his house in Santa Monica.?

While I agree with this, it doesn't make it any less sad. Anyone who needs attention that badly has serious issues.

Having the time of someone else's life can be pretty dismal. Someone without money, fame, whatever it is that Own Wilson has that people are apparently so envious of they think he doesn't have the right to be sad -- well, that person can always be optimistic and think that a few more dollars or whatever and they will be happy someday. What if you had all of everything you ever were striving for and you still didn't feel so good?

Money, fame, the good life does not vaccinate you from depression nor does it guarantee the dosage of 'happiness' in one's life.

I just heard that Canada AM reported this morning that Owen Wilson has died.

Hopefully that report is wrong.

It's always better when an attempted suicide is a cry for help rather than a successful attempt. Being a big movie star with millions in the bank obviously isn't all it's cracked up to be, for some.

Its not a secret that most Hollywood stars are fucked up in the head to begin with. Then add the constant paparazzi around you, dealing with the $$ thats just flowing in, etc.

Just look at Dave Chappelle. He pussied out of a huge contact on his show because he couldn't deal with the $$ and success.

it's funny - i'm reading these posts and see "he has money", "he has women", he has this, that and the other thing and i'm not quite sure how "having" the things posted should be a reason a person MUST be happy or content.

i'll be the first person to say money is great (and it means more to me since i came from nothing) BUT money does NOT make you a happy person. makes paying the bills easier, yes. but if you find your sole happiness from a piece of paper or banging superficial women who are only after you for one thing and nothing more (and think outside the box before you try to question my statement) then i really feel for you.

possessions only make you "happy" momentarily.

Celebrities dont have normal life. Its so sad, taking your life away is never a solution to any problem.

Everyone here thinks they know so much. Not one of you knows shit about the reasons or how he's feeling or how he is in his mind.

Who has had personal experience here with suicide? Be it yourself or direct connection? I doubt many.
