Anyone know anything about Serbian names

I met a cute Serbian girl the other night and forgot how to pronounce her name. It's spelled "Gelena," which I am sure is pronounced "Jill-ay-nah" but I am not sure.

Help me out here. :)

Whatever you do, don't call her "Mulva." That never works.

Are you sure it's spelled Gelena? I've never heard of a Serbian name not even similar to this.

Marshal 08-26-2007 09:18 PM

Btw, there's no word "mulva" in Serbian.

Yeah, she typed it in on my phone. Not sure if its a Serbian name or not, I just know she is Serbian.

And yes, its her real name and real number. :)

Serbs (Serbian: Срби or Srbi) are a South Slavic people who live mainly in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and, to a lesser extent, in Croatia. They are also a significant minority in the Republic of Macedonia and Slovenia. There is a sizeable Serbian diaspora in Western Europe (predominantly concentrated in Germany, Switzerland and Austria), as well in North America: the United States and Canada.

I've finally figured out why you always post stuff about gay stuff. I think its because you have a crush on me and you're hoping one day that I'll turn gay. You sir, are gay.

I know this already. I just don't exactly know how to pronounce her name when I call her tomorrow.

Wont read through the whole thread, but to the original poster : G is G not j, so you don't read it jill, you read it ga, like in gatorade. you don't trink jatorade now do you ? So her name ain't Jalena either.

And not ga as in ghey (gatorade) but ga as in ga(gangbang). So your girl sounds like a gangbang, what can I say. Jesus English phonetics are screwed up.

Nice name btw ;)
