Can someone teach sponsors how to do proper hosted RSS feeds?
 

Alot, if not most, of the feeds provided by sponsors are terrible.

i'm interested in creating some sponsor RSS feeds but really dont know what to do myself. bookmarking this hoping someone sheds some light. :)

Lots of sponsors have 2 problems. The first problem is just plain setting up the feeds. The second is actually writing posts worth a damn.

But of the ones that do have them setup, I'd say 80% of them suck. Either outsourced with crappy text or one generic line of text. There should really be an industry standard setup as far as the format also.

If any sponsors wants quality written feeds, hit me up.

Or they just do not update them at all...

So what should a proper RSS feed consist of? I´m planning to add RSS feeds and I don´t want to waste time and money on feeds nobody likes.

For one, at least one paragraph of text. There are so many sponsors that use "TGP style" text descriptions (i.e. a few words) on their posts....

I am confused as to what is wrong

I have work with, and currently use, over 200 sponsors provided rss feeds without any issues

I have bookmarkers and people registering for my rss run blogs

so, can you be specific with what you are looking for?

What was the alternative to feedpushers? I saw someone else with one of these the other day... Can't remember...

I found some good feeds as I was looking around for them but you are right there are a lot that only have a picture and a couple word description.

We put our feeds up today! www.rssbuilders.com did a great job setting us up!
