But you know what really is disgusting about that shot? You cant see it because I took it out by making sure the camera couldn't see it.
I had to try that shot from four different vantage points before I found one that did not show the roadside litter left by idiots but still got the entire mountain and the preserve sign (and the mile marker, so I can remember exactly where it was and go back with a better camera). I swear, people who litter in places like that should be shot.
(And yes, I did pick the litter up. In fact, a few miles before this point, I cleaned a whole road side picnic area that had not seen a chain gang for a long, long time. Filled up two leaf bags with all kinds of shit. Beer cans, soda cans, a Snap-On wrench (I kept that) a spent bullet, tail light lenses, you name it, thrown all over. Disgusting what people do to such wonderful places. Funny thing was, while I was in the middle of it, a guy stopped and helped. Amazing how such things catch on. That was my good deed for the month, left the place a little cleaner than when I came.) |
