serious question about copyright
 

hello everyone. i am sorry if i am posting this in wrong section, but i need an answer and this is the only live section on board in my eyes. anyway, i am trying to build a fanclub site to kelly bundy, not to chrtistina applegate, but to kelly. it will be just for fun and all content i am planing will be small 5-15sec clips taken from our country tv and will be posted from youtube on this site

i want to ask, who i have to pay for copyrighted pics, this one i have there is taken from google images with no copyright watermark or sign on page. but main is if i have to say to the tv about my site or where i have to ask for distribution of those small clips ... thanks for any answers, sorry if i am so off topic but this is one and only place where i can ask for that, no real life friends around :/ best wishes to all and dont tell me that i am an ass my mother told me that already ;) respect, fgn_chil aka teencat

Fox owns the right to Kelly Bundy character and you have to ask permission FIRST to use her likeness and I can already tell you the answer will be NO.

Basically, there's no legitimate way to use a sitcom character on a "fansite".

If you do it anyway, they will probably sue. They won't sue unless you get some sort of exposure/success with it. So, it's really not worth your time.

Especially seeing how there's no shortage of dizzy blondes. Go to your local burger flipping joint, pick one, make HER a website (be sure to get her to sign a contract first) and you're on your way of being one of the boys here.
