recip linking between your own sites

question, i want all my own sites link to eachother. Some are on different IP's etc so that is not the problem, plus ive read that if you link to same IP sites google doesnt penaltly as long as it ain a hundred sites on the same IP linking to eachother, so the IP thing is already covered.

My question lies whether i should do like sets of sites (a) linking to another sets of sites (b) linking to another set of sites (c), or if i should do all my sites recip linking to all my sites. Does it really matter? Ive done some SEO stuff, some succesful, some not - using the same techniques. Thats another thing i dont understand why with exactly the same techniques some are on page 1 and some are nowhere to be found in the search results. When you think you know more and more you come to the conclusion that SEO is very weird and you dont seem to get any further - at least thats what i am experiencing.

Anyway back to the original question - a-b-c or recip linking for my own sites? When i do recip linking i get more linkbacks to all my sites.

i would go for the a-b-c linking.
i played with recip linking a bit, but always had better results with a-b-c

ABC.... mainly the only thing Google will look for when there is a small amount of interlinking between domains on the same IP is that they are targeting other keywords...

So if site A is #1 in google for widgets, don't expect site B to also be in the index for widgets if they are on the same IP.

Are they at all relevant to eachother? If not i wouldnt bother.

original content + backlinks + time + some basic SE optimisation = good results (I think).

People often forget the time factor, the sites that I have and are getting some Google love are older than 1 year (with 1 or 2 exceptions)

as for the links I don't think it would make much of a difference if they're a-b-c or recips unless we are talking about a few thousand sites

Link pages within sites that are relevant to other sites and vice versa. For example, if you have a bondage specific page on one site link it to the bdsm section of another. If you have a blowjob section on one, link it to a cumshots or oral page of another. Avoid mirrored content and linking together mirrored sites, regardless of IP's.

some good replies here. As for the basic optimisation, a h1 keyword, bold keywords etc. seem to have lost its value, or my competitors just have more relevant backlinks than mine. Its just that everyone thats higher listed than me doesnt have the basic onpage optimisation that my sites have.
Anyway, im gonna go for the relevant page linking, that sounds the most logical. Thanks.

you are probably right... the backlinks are so important and (i feel) the basic HTML optimizations are so Unimportant. It is good to have a page/site that is clear and easily indexed, but the routes the bots take to it is even more important.
